Gap Year Students

Gap Year travellers are most at risk of becoming victims of assault, misadventure, petty crime and road traffic accidents. However, by undertaking travel awareness training, you are significantly reducing the potential risks that could happen to you. We offer 1-day and 2-day travel awareness courses as standalone packages, but the benefit of these courses is that ATR can scale them accordingly. We can offer a specific medical focus for Gap Year expeditions, and for those travelling abroad in remote or conflict areas. Online learning is great for UK travellers but you will truly get a flavour with scenario-based training from ATR.

Business Travellers

Those working overseas could fall victim to a number of threats and risks. International business travel can be unpredictable, and failing to be fully aware and safe can have serious implications on the individual, as well as the organisation as a whole. Maintaining situational awareness of your surroundings while abroad, and keeping tabs on potential threats ensures you'll be able to make more informed and practical decisions if/when a hostile situation arises. Ultimately, with ATR, we will train you on how to keep yourself and others safe, by presenting realistic scenarios that you may face while abroad. Content and duration can be tailored to fit your requirements.

Most of us are aware that there are inherent risks while travelling abroad, and by familiarising yourself with situation awareness training principles, you’re significantly mitigating the majority of threats you could end up facing. As far as travel safety tips for business travellers go, this is the least you should be doing. However, it is also applicable to young travellers on individual Gap Years too. Situational awareness training from former law enforcement personnel, with consolidated experience in Close Protection training, will prepare you to recognise and avoid potential volatile and hostile situations.
